Graduate Students

Graduate student positions are dependent on funding.

As of now (September 2024), I will not be accepting a graduate student for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Graduate student candidates should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology or a related field.  Applicants should have a passion for pursuing a clinical psychology doctoral degree, experience working on a research team, a strong interest and prior experience conducting clinical psychology research, and experience collecting and working with MRI and/or physiological data in adults with anxiety, stress, and related disorders.  Strong candidates will have experience presenting and publishing research, consistent with strong scientific writing skills.  During their time in the lab, graduate students will contribute to ongoing data collection, supervision of undergraduate students, and manuscript writing. A primary focus will be on fulfilling the requirements of the PhD program by developing and completing thesis and dissertation projects.

Graduate students interested in working in the lab should apply through the Clinical Science Program: https://lsa.umich.edu/psych/program-areas/clinical-science.html
